    2013 Chevy Malibu ECO

    Last updated 2 years ago

The 2013 Chevy Malibu was designed to be the most aerodynamic midsize car in the history of Chevrolet. Keep reading to find out how Chevrolet engineers accomplished this automotive feat.

At the U.S. General Motors aerodynamic laboratory, a 43-foot diameter fan with 4,500 horsepower was used when designing the Chevy Malibu to simulate the wind resistance that the car would face at speeds of 138 miles per hour. With a 0.29 coefficient of drag, the Malibu slices through the air with ease. Watch the video for more details!

To take a test drive in one of Chevrolet’s brand-new, aerodynamic vehicles, come to City Chevrolet in San Diego. For more information, visit our website or call us at (619) 817-8445.

A Chevy Owner's Guide to OnStar

    Last updated 2 years ago

You have probably heard about OnStar, the on-board communication system designed by General Motors to keep Chevrolet drivers and passengers safer than ever before. To find out more about OnStar and how it works inside of a new Chevrolet to provide a plethora of essential features, take a look at this article:

    Hands-Free Calling

New Chevy vehicles that come with OnStar have a cellular module built into the car that enables you to make phone calls. OnStar uses your Chevrolet’s speakers and a built-in microphone, and is voice activated and hands free. You can call OnStar’s automated system to provide you with weather, stock updates, news, e-mail, and traffic reports on the go. Use OnStar in your Chevrolet to access directions that you have saved on Google Maps and MapQuest, or get an OnStar advisor to remotely unlock your car doors.

    Directions & Connections

When equipped with the Directions and Connections plan, OnStar will provide you with spoken driving directions and points of interest, like an ATM or a gas station, based on the GPS location of your Chevrolet. If you cannot drive your Chevy, you can ask OnStar to call a taxi or a towing company for you.

    Emergency Services

In the event that you want to report an accident, request emergency responders, or get help for somebody else on the road, all you have to do is press the emergency button on your Chevrolet’s rearview mirror. If you were in a collision and your air bags were deployed, an OnStar advisor will automatically call your vehicle. If you do not respond, the advisor will call emergency services and inform them of your location so that they can assist you as quickly as possible.

OnStar is just one of the many incredible features in a new Chevrolet. To try out the OnStar system on a new Chevrolet, come and take one for a test drive at City Chevrolet in San Diego. For more information, call us at (619) 817-8445.
