City Chevrolet is always looking for ways to make your driving experience better (and your dealership experience better as well). For a comfortable driving experience, it is important to adjust your seat to the proper position. This video provides several tips for finding an ergonomic position when you drive.
A common mistake when adjusting the car seat is to recline too far back. You can find the proper position by reclining your seat until your shoulders are above your hips. To properly adjust the distance between your chair and the pedals, find a position that allows your legs to be slightly bent without reaching for the pedals. Check out the video above for more excellent tips on how to find an ergonomic driver’s seat position.
One way to achieve the best MPG possible is by practicing efficient driving habits. To make sure that your Chevrolet’s engine operates with optimal fuel economy, always drive the speed limit. When you are on the highway, any speed over 50 mph can decrease the efficiency of your engine. All of the 2013 Chevrolet models feature cruise control to help you maintain an optimal highway speed. To save gas when you are idling, turn off your Chevy’s engine when you are parked or stopped for a long period of time.
When you thoughtfully plan out your trips, you're ensuring that you are driving under conditions that promote the highest fuel economy possible for your new or used Chevrolet. (Yes, you can even improve fuel efficiency in older models by following these tips.) By avoiding travel during peak traffic times whenever possible, you can reduce idling time and save gasoline. Also, be sure pack to efficiently when planning for a longer trip. If you are able, pack lightly and avoid storing cargo on the exterior of your vehicle. By using your Chevy’s superior interior storage capacity, you can optimize the aerodynamic styling of your car and cut back on your gas consumption.
